Product detailed description
The Tsinandali Estate Saperavi 2020 is a powerful entry in a long-standing winemaking tradition. This dry red wine from the Kakheti region of Georgia is crafted from 100% Saperavi grapes. After aging for 12 months in French oak barrels, the result is a full-bodied, mature, and succulent wine with excellent aging potential.
This vintage offers a complex palate with prominent notes of ripe red berries, blackcurrant, and licorice, all complemented by a touch of black pepper. Only a limited number of cases were allocated for the Czech market, and very few bottles remain.
Pairing Suggestions: Classic pairings: Red meat dishes like lamb chops, veal, and beef steak, as well as aged and goat cheeses. Traditional Georgian pairings: Mtsvadi (Georgian shashlik), Kupati and Abkhazura (traditional Georgian sausages), Chashushuli (spicy beef stew), and various local cheeses such as Guda, and Saperavi-aged Suluguni.
Tsinandali Estate is one of the most historic Georgian wineries, founded in 1839. Its founder, Prince Alexander Chavchavadze, based the winery on European-Georgian experience.
