From the Georgian region of Samegrelo, specifically from the village of Targameuli in the Martvili area, comes a unique wine made from the very rare Machkvaturi grape variety. This wine, with its beautiful ruby color, is young and fresh, possessing a high acidity that gives it an energetic and crisp character.
Its rich aroma combines notes of red berries and fruits, such as raspberry and strawberry tree, complemented by spicy hints of bay leaf and thyme. On the palate, the wine is crisp, with pronounced but pleasantly pungent tannins and a long-lasting, memorable flavor.
Due to its profile, it pairs wonderfully with traditional Georgian dishes like Amolesili Lobio (a bean purée) or Chakhokhbili (a chicken stew), as well as roasted dishes such as suckling pig and veal skewers, or even with simple yet flavorful foods like fried mushrooms and vegetables.
