Product detailed description
From the Bruale vineyards in Kakheti, Georgia, comes the Rkatsiteli 2023, a Natural Dry Amber wine crafted by winemaker Zaza Mamulashvili. This wine originates from the Kvareli microzone within the Alazani valley, a region blessed with fertile alluvial soil, average humidity, mild winters, and long, warm summers. The vineyards sit at an altitude of around 450 metres above sea level.
Bruale adheres to the traditional Georgian Kakhetian Qvevri method for this Rkatsiteli. After pressing, the grapes, including skins, seeds, and stems, ferment in underground clay vessels (Qvevri) for a full 6 months. Following this extended contact, the wine is transferred to another Qvevri to age underground at an optimal temperature of 12°C.
The Rkatsiteli 2023 is a rich, velvety amber wine. Its flavours mirror its aromas, presenting a delightful mix of exotic fruits, predominantly mango and passion fruit, accented by hints of grass, eucalyptus, and minerals. It is distinguished by silky tannins that balance its robust structure and full body, leading to a lasting finish. Enjoy this expressive wine with meats and cheese.
The winery's origins trace back to around 2010, when the founding Georgian-French partnership began. Located in Kakheti, Georgia, this Georgian-French venture blends traditional Qvevri winemaking techniques with classic methods, including oak barrel aging.
