Produced by Tbilvino, a leading Georgian winery established in 1962, known for producing high-quality wines by combining modern technology with traditional methods. This wine represents its premium line wines.
This wine is made from 100% Saperavi grapes sourced from two vineyards, Shashiani and Vachnadziani, in the Kakheti region.
The grapes are harvested at the end of September. Wine is fermented for 12-14 days in stainless steel tanks. Following this, 40% of the wine is aged for four months in French barriques.
The tasting notes describe it as deeply concentrated in color, offering immense power and intensity. It has subtle spice notes complementing a lavish, densely packed fruit character, with seamlessly integrated oak. The palate is marked by a wonderfully persistent, that builds into an enduring finish.
Jancis Robinson awarded it 17 points (Superior), calling it "a very dramatic wine!".
