Product detailed description
Mtsvane Qvevri 2020 from the Tavankari winery is an authentic example of traditional Georgian winemaking. This Georgian wine is crafted from the Mtsvane grape variety, grown in the Kakheti region, and fermented in clay vessels known as Qvevri.
This process imparts the wine's characteristic amber color and its complex flavor profile. The aroma is dominated by notes of ripe fruit, citrus, and flowers. On the palate, the wine is dry, featuring gentle tannins and a long-lasting finish reminiscent of dried fruit and spices. With an alcohol content of 13.5%, this Qvevri amber (orange) wine pairs ideally with dishes such as traditional Georgian cuisine, vegetable salads, and semi-hard cheeses.
Tavankari is a young winery that has nevertheless been built upon a foundation of long tradition and family history.
