Kisi 2019 from the Shermadini winery is an authentic Qvevri amber (orange) wine from Georgia, beautifully combining traditional Georgian winemaking practices with a modern approach. This Georgian wine is crafted from 100% Kisi grapes. The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented alongside their skins, stems, and seeds in traditional clay vessels called Qvevri, where the wine matured for a period of 6 to 8 months. This method imparts the wine's characteristic amber color and its complex flavor profile.

The aroma is dominated by notes of dried apricots, pears, and apples, complemented by subtle hints of spices and honey. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and harmonious, featuring a well-balanced tannin structure and a long, rich finish. With an alcohol content of 13%, this dry Qvevri amber wine pairs ideally with seafood, poultry, white meat, or cheeses, but it can also be thoroughly enjoyed on its own.

Shermadini Winery is a family-run business dedicated to the production of organic Qvevri wines. The estate's vineyards are located within the Kakheti, Gurjaani, and Akhmeta micro-zones. Wines under the "Shermadini" label are made from grapes grown strictly in accordance with organic farming principles, which completely exclude the use of synthetic chemical fertilizers, fungicides, and herbicides. To protect the vines against pests and diseases in compliance with organic viticulture standards, the winery uses only bio-agents certified by the European Union. This approach safeguards the local ecosystem, biodiversity, and natural biological cycles. As a result of these natural production methods, "Shermadini" wines are crafted in strictly limited quantities.
