Khikhvi Qvevri 2022 from the Winery Keburia is an authentic Qvevri amber (orange) wine from Georgia, beautifully combining traditional Georgian winemaking practices with a modern approach. This Georgian wine hails from the Kakheti region, specifically from Winery Keburia, and is crafted from 100% Khikhvi grapes.

The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented together with their skins and stems in traditional clay vessels called Qvevri for a period of 6 months. This method imparts the wine's characteristic amber color and its complex flavor profile. The aroma is dominated by notes of apricots, peaches, quinces, dried apricots, orange peel, walnuts, and figs. On the palate, the wine is dry, featuring a well-balanced acidity and gentle tannins, which create a complex and harmonious experience with a medium body and a long-lasting finish.

With an alcohol content of 14%, this dry Qvevri amber wine pairs ideally with poultry dishes, white meat, or cheeses, but it can also be thoroughly enjoyed on its own.
