Chardonnay-Sauvignon 2021 (Teliani Collection – Wine People) is an exceptional, limited-edition dry amber (orange) wine from Georgia that blends thousands of years of tradition with modern winemaking artistry. This rare wine hails from the Saguramo micro-region in the Kakheti area, and winemaker Lado Naveriani produced only 474 bottles of it.

The wine uniquely combines 40% Chardonnay, 40% Sauvignon, and 20% aromatic varieties—Ottonel, Aromatico, and Muscat. The hand-harvested grapes underwent 7 to 10 days of skin-contact alcoholic fermentation, followed by malolactic fermentation and an additional 6 months of aging on the skins in oak barrels. This traditional method gives the wine a captivating, light amber color and an extraordinarily complex profile.

The aromatic bouquet is dominated by notes of roses, ripe and tropical fruits, with subtle hints of honey. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, dry, and harmonious, with a distinctive nutty character, a firm tannin structure, and a long, delicate finish.

With an alcohol content of 13%, this amber wine is an ideal choice for pairing with seafood, pasta, poultry, white meat, or matured cheeses, but it can also be thoroughly enjoyed on its own as an authentic Georgian winemaking experience.
